What we don’t do

An important part of exercising discipline is knowing when work falls outside our nature-positive strategy. In that spirit, here are some things Woop Woop will not do.

We don’t deliver biodiversity offsets — because despite our best restoration efforts, they usually end in a net-loss for nature. What is lost can never be fully replaced.

We will continue to measure our level of activity with partners (e.g. 20 Million trees planted), but what we really care about — our outcomes and impact for nature — will also be measured using science-based metrics and where possible, will be built into natural capital accounting frameworks.

We won’t design or deliver poor quality restoration — we understand habitat condition is essential for biodiversity benefit. Our goal is to always deliver a minimum of three stars restoration according to revegetation guidelines.

Greenwashing, greenhushing… that’s not us. We are strongly evidence-based and will always implement best practise, but in these changing climates we might also fail from time to time. We have a growth mindset and are open about our failures so that everyone can learn.
